Back to Hooking!

I was so excited to get back to my hooking today!  I went to the Western Reserve Rug Hookers Guild meeting today and worked on my latest rug.  I have ripped out the background twice, the dog once, the stems three times...but I am finally happy with my colors.  I love Cynthia Norwood's book Creating an Antique Look in Hand-Hooked Rugs and have read and re-read her sections on color-planning.  She was at our guild meeting this morning and I took advantage of the opportunity to ask her opinion.  She made my day when she said that it was an A+ and that the blue stems gave it a real "old" look.  Yippee!  I know I sound like a dork, but I am ok with that!  I am looking forward to finishing this small piece in the next couple of weeks. :)
